Yesterday, Virginia Republicans nominated four candidates for the General Assembly – two for the State Senate (Sen. Bryce Reeves for SD28; Del. John McGuire for SD10) and two for the House of Delegates (Tim Griffin in HD53, Baxter Ennis for HD89). Needless to say, given the current, radicalized, Trumpified, MAGA-ized state of the Republican Party, none of these people are moderates in any way. To the contrary, they are all 100% pro-gun, anti-abortion, you name it. See below for some info on these guys – and yes, they are all men, not surprisingly given the minimal diversity among Virginia House of Delegates and State Senate Republicans.
P.S. SD28 is deep-“red”/safe Republican; SD10 same deal; HD53 same deal; HD89 is “purple”/competitive (Youngkin won it by 7.5 points in 2021, but Northam won it by 5.5 points in 2017)
