This Time, He Joins Conspiracy Theorist and Anti-Abortion Radical Tudor Dixon in Michigan; and BREAKING: Glenn Youngkin to Campaign For Far-Right-Extremist/Trump-“Big-Lie” MI-GOV Candidate Who Cited “14-year-girl raped by her uncle as a ‘perfect example’ of an abortion that she believes should be prohibited”.

DNC Statement Ahead of Glenn Youngkin’s Trip to Michigan

Ahead of Glenn Youngkin’s speech at Michigan’s GOP Convention in Lansing, Michigan, DNC spokesperson Elena Kuhn released the following statement:

“Glenn Youngkin traveling to Michigan to campaign alongside another abortion extremist and election conspiracy theorist in Tudor Dixon tells you everything you need to know about his toxic brand of politics and today’s Republican Party. Both Youngkin and Dixon support rolling back women’s reproductive freedom, are bankrolled by the DeVos family, and are pushing a dangerous anti-public education agenda that is extreme and out of touch with hardworking families.”

Reminder: Youngkin told conservative activists he would happily sign “any bill” to stop abortion.

The Washington Post: “‘Any bill that comes to my desk I will sign happily and gleefully in order to protect life,’ [Youngkin] said in an online forum organized by the Family Foundation of Virginia to celebrate the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.”

And Youngkin has refused to say whether he’d back a full abortion ban.

Newsweek: “The governor said that while he believes life begins at conception, he is focusing on a way to ‘get something done,’ opting for the 15-week ban that would more likely pass in Virginia—while not giving an answer about whether he would support banning abortion in Virginia from conception.”

Youngkin and Dixon are Betsy DeVos’ family’s hand-picked candidates, and so it’s no wonder both are pushing an extreme agenda that could gut public education.

AP: “[Youngkin] received $12,500 from Betsy DeVos, who was education secretary in the Trump administration.”

Virginia Mercury: “Former DeVos aide appointed Virginia’s deputy secretary of education”
