Audio: Terry McAuliffe Reflects on 4 Years in Office, Trump Taking GOP Into the “Gutter,” Need to Focus on 2018/2019 and State/Local Elections

To me, the best part of this interview is when McAuliffe talks about the crucial importance of Democrats focusing on state and local politics — and on 2018/2019 — before we all start blabbering about 2020. McAuliffe adds that Democrats have been wiped out at the state level the past decade, that we need to wake up and remedy this situation ASAP.  McAuliffe also talks about his record as governor, his pride in recruiting his successor as governor (Ralph Northam) and helping him win big time (with a huge assist from anger at Donald Trump, of course), how the political atmosphere right now reminds him of 2006 (but even more intense), etc.  Check it out, below.
