Senator Tim Kaine Hosts Virtual Roundtable in Virginia with Latino Small Business Owners
Yesterday, Senator Tim Kaine held a virtual roundtable with Latino small business owners in Virginia to hear about the challenges and difficulties they are facing through the coronavirus pandemic.
Senator Kaine, joined by Delegate Alfonso Lopez, also discussed Vice President Biden’s plans to help the Latino and the small business communities in Virginia.

“Joe Biden understands our immigrant experience. He often talks about his own immigrant roots and the same things that motivated his forebearers or mine to come from Ireland to the United States, motivate immigrants from all over the world to come to the United States to be the…transfusion in the nation’s bloodstream that helps keep us young and healthy at 240-plus years, and Joe understands that. I worked with Joe, when I was Governor and he was Vice President. Worst fiscal crisis since the Great Depression up to now is what Barack Obama and Joe Biden helped us steer through — and I saw what a great friend he was to us as we were handling that challenge, and boy do we have a challenge to handle now,” said Senator Kaine.
“As President, Vice President Biden will make sure that relief funds actually get to struggling communities and deserving mom-and-pop businesses so we can rebuild a more inclusive, resilient economy that serves everyone.
