So, at this point (11/7), in Virginia we’re at 190,873 total reported – confirmed plus probable – cases (note that actual cases, as well as deaths, could be higher, maybe even a LOT higher, based on stories like this one in the NY Times), 13,022 hospitalizations and 3,704 deaths from COVID-19. The number of reported cases went up 2,103 (+1.1%) in the latest statistics, which is a faster rate of increase than the day before, when reported cases were up 1,568 (+0.8%). The number of TOTAL test results is currently at 2,986,354 TOTAL test results (up 25,486 from yesterday; note that, according to researchers at Harvard, we need 21,145 test results/day for mitigation, 81,741/day for suppression). As for hospitalizations, they went up 86 (+0.7%), which is a slightly faster rate of increase than the day before, when hospitalizations were up 71 (+0.6%). Deaths are reported +? compared to +? the previous day.
