See below for reactions by Virginians to this evening’s SCOTUS ruling which “dismissed a long-shot bid by President Trump and the state of Texas to overturn the results in four states won by Democrat Joe Biden, blocking the president’s legal path to reverse his reelection loss.” I’ll add more as I see them. So sure, it’s good news, BUT it never should have gotten this far, Trump should have conceded at the latest after it was clear that Biden had 270 electoral votes, and any Republican who aided/abetted Trump’s coup attempt should be seriously penalized. Anyway, congratulations once again to President-elect Biden and VP-elect Harris, who have won this election (to quote Del. Danica Roem) “8,947 times in five weeks…or something like that.” LOL
TX’s lawsuit was a blatant attempt to undermine our democracy and overturn our election and SCOTUS saw right through their baseless claims.
