Two more pieces of evidence demonstrating that today’s Republican Party has gone completely off the deep end, not just politically, but psychologically. First, one of the most popular right-wingnuts, Ben Carson, goes full “Godwin” on us.
Yet again, more dark, disturbing psychological projection from the right wing.
Next, we have our old pal Lyin’ Ryan blaming poverty not on globalization, or trickle-down economics, or underinvestment in human and physical capital thanks to policies he and his party support, etc, etc., but on – wait, are you sitting down? – that’s right, lazy “inner city” (RACIST CODE WORD ALERT!) men. Hmmm. As if that’s not bad enough, Ryan also cites “Charles Murray, a conservative social scientist who believes African-Americans are, as a population, less intelligent than whites due to genetic differences and that poverty remains a national problem because “a lot of poor people are born lazy.”
And Republicans wonder why so few African Americans (or Latinos) vote for them? Hmmmm.
