Kaine Campaign Outraises Felix Yet Again

Another good fundraising quarter for Tim Kaine, 50% higher than George Allen’s $900,000, and leaving Kaine with $700,000 more cash on hand ($2.5 million to $1.8 million) than good ol’ “Felix Macacawitz.” Assuming this trend continues for another 5 quarters, we should be in good shape. Let’s make sure it does.

Kaine for Virginia Announces Third Quarter Fundraising Results

~ $1.3m Raised in Third Quarter Brings Totals to $3.55m Year-to-Date, $2.55m Cash on Hand ~

Richmond, VA – Kaine for Virginia announced today that it received $1.3 million in donations during the third quarter. In the six months since he declared his candidacy on April 5, 2011, over 8,500 unique donors have contributed to Tim Kaine’s Senate campaign. Kaine for Virginia has raised approximately $3.55 million year-to-date and has approximately $2.55 million cash on hand. In the third quarter, Governor Kaine focused extensively on supporting candidates for the state legislature and local offices in every part of the state and is continuing those efforts in the lead-up to Election Day.

Kaine for Virginia Spokeswoman Brandi Hoffine released the follow statement:

“As Governor Kaine takes his positive message on job creation, fiscal responsibility and economic growth through investments in our infrastructure and our workforce across the Commonwealth, Virginians are responding and showing their support. We are thrilled that so many people have joined our campaign and look forward to building on that grassroots momentum to elect great leaders in 2011 and send Tim Kaine to the U.S. Senate in 2012.”
