Great stuff from our friends at Progress Virginia on our favorite fool (“fossil fool” and otherwise) George Allen. The question is, has this guy ever NOT been a fool about something? Let us know if you think of an example. Hmmmmm.
This April Fool’s Day, the joke’s on Virginia. You see, George Allen has been pulling the wool over Virginians’ eyes, misleading us about his record. So instead of playing a joke on you this April 1, we’re being upfront. George Allen’s record is simply the pits.
Allen’s record is no laughing matter. From his opposition to contraception access to his denial of global warming, its clear that Allen simply doesn’t represent Virginia values. If only it stopped there. But the truth is that Allen voted for George Bush’s millionaire tax cuts after he increased spending in Virginia almost 50% as Governor.
More George Allen foolishness on the “flip.”
It’s going to take all of us to build a more progressive future for Virginia. That’s why it’s so important to make sure folks have the facts about policies that would take us in the wrong direction. But there’s no reason we can’t have a little fun while we do it.
