Study shows huge margin of error in photo ID

    Not that it will make any difference to Republicans who deny scientific fact — but — studies show there is a HUGE error rate when people attempt to match someone’s photo with the person standing in front of them.

    An international team of researchers found staff members in an Australian passport office had a substantial 15 percent error rate when identifying people from their passport photos – the same average error rate as university students.

    New research finds that false identifications are going widely undetected because people lack the ability to tell the difference between a face and the picture on an ID.
