Sunday News: “Our war is against evil, not against Islam;” “The enemy of America is not our many Muslim friends” — George W. Bush

Here are a few national and Virginia news headlines, political and otherwise, for Sunday, November 15. As for the phrase, “radical Islam,” I agree with George W. Bush (and Hillary Clinton) that we have to be very careful about impugning all of Islam, and that terms like “jihadists,” “Islamists,” “violent extremists,” “evil thugs,” or just plain “terrorists” are far more accurate to describe what we’re up against. But again, no,  as George W. Bush and many others have said, we are NOT at war with the religion of Islam or the 1 billion Muslims in the world, nor should anyone ever want to be.
