With the Virginia General Assembly almost ready to rev up its 2016 session, the bills are pouring in now. Here are a few excellent ones, by Senators Barbara Favola (D) and Dave Marsden (D) dealing with firearms near schools, preventing terrorists and little kids from getting fireamrs. There are also a couple really awful ones: by far-right winger Del. Brenda Pogge (R) preventing Virginia from in any way enforcing or implementing “Obamacare;” and one by raving anti-LGBT bigot Del. “Sideshow Bob” Marshall (R, of course), prohibiting localities from prohibiting anti-LGBT discrimination. Great job by Senators Favola and Marsden; appalling as usual by the right wingers. Check out the bills below, and click to “embiggen.”
