From the LuAnn Bennett for Congress campaign:

Rep. Comstock will also not be available for questioning on her support for Donald Trump

McLean – A ceremony to welcome 40 candidates for U.S. citizenship will feature a speech from Rep. Barbara Comstock, who previously called for the federal government to track immigrants like FedEx packages and who voted to restart deportations of undocumented families and DREAMers. The event comes on the same day that anti-immigrant politician Donald Trump speaks for the first time as the GOP standard-bearer. However, Rep. Comstock will be unavailable to answer questions on her support for Trump, nor will she answer any questions about her party platform’s anti-immigrant positions, including Trump’s central campaign promise of constructing a wall between the U.S. and Mexico.
WHO:                  Rep. Barbara Comstock
WHAT:                 An Attempt to Cover Up Past Anti-Immigrant Rhetoric
WHEN:                Thursday, July 21, 2016, 10:00-11:00 am
WHERE:              Manassas National Battlefield Park
WHY:                   Her anti-immigrant agenda is out of step with her constituents
“Barbara Comstock has apparently realized that her anti-immigrant views, including her proposal to track immigrants like FedEx packages, are out of step with her constituents in the increasingly diverse 10th district,” said Bennett for Congress spokesman Robert Howard. “While she continues to hide her support for Donald Trump, her own words show that she supports the same anti-immigrant policies that have become the hallmark of the Trump’s campaign.”
