Or after this week, will they stay far, far away?
After one of his most controversial and corrupt weeks yet (which isn’t saying much), President Trump will appear at Liberty University tomorrow to offer inspiration and hope for the graduating class of 2017.
So, do Corey Stewart, Ed Gillespie and Frank Wagner even want to be there?
This week, Gillespie made a weak attempt trying to dance around Donald Trump by attempting to dodge questions about Trump’s brazen abuse of power. But hasn’t always been that way. Gillespie’s support of Trump was “clear from the beginning,” and urged Republicans to “come home” to support Trump.
“After months of support of President Trump, tomorrow Virginians will have the opportunity again to see whether Frank Wagner and Ed Gillespie will stand with Trump in public,” said DPVA spokeswoman Christina Freundlich.“These Republicans have had Donald Trump’s back for months, now they need to show up and demonstrate their loyalty to the President and the Republican Party in person to Virginians.”
