Fairfax History centuries in the making! Here this morning with my dear friend the 14th Lord Fairfax, Nicholas, to kick off the 4-day Lord Fairfax Charity Motorcycle Ride.
Nicholas’s ancestor, The 9th Lord Fairfax, Thomas, freed my great-great-great grandfather, Simon Fairfax, from slavery in Fairfax County, Virginia 220 years ago on June 5, 1798 (sixty years before the Civil War). And, I was proud to kick off today’s Charity Ride as Lieutenant Governor of Virginia. #WeRiseTogether
