And so, after nearly 2 1/2 years of the Trump nightmare, the 2020 presidential campaign is really starting to heat up, with the first Democratic debate tonight in Miami. The ten candidates tonight are (starting with the center of the stage): Sen. Elizabeth Warren, Sen. Cory Booker, former Rep. Beto O’Rourke, Sen. Amy Klobuchar, former Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julián Castro, Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, Gov. Jay Inslee, Rep. Tim Ryan, Mayor Bill de Blasio and former Rep. John Delaney. Another ten candidates will debate tomorrow night. Should be interesting, I guess, but personally, I’m looking forward to the number of candidates on stage being winnowed down to a reasonable number, like maybe half a dozen or whatever. I guess we’ll have to wait until September for that. Until then…enjoy?
