Thanks as always to Cindy over at the Virginia Progressive Legislative Action Network (VAPLAN) for staying on top of what’s going on in the Virginia General Assembly and informing the rest of us! See below for the VAPLAN preview for what’s coming up tomorrow – “Big day in Sen. Judiciary”; education; workers’ rights; the national popular vote compact and ranked choice voting; the “sprawling transportation bill”; the Virginia Clean Economy Act and other important energy bills; etc. No doubt, it’s going to be a busy week!

Also, see here for highlights from last week, including: “House Public Safety Committee reports out gun bills”; “Senate and House Committees vote to repeal TRAP laws”; some hits and misses on criminal justice reform; and “still waiting” on a bunch of stuff, including the “big RPS and efficiency goal bills, and Solar Freedom,” plus “bills to create driver’s privilege cards have not yet been heard” and “minimum wage and collective bargaining/right to work repeal bills have not yet been heard in committees.” As always, elections really matter, and as we are witnessing, a Democratic majority is leading to a slew of progressive legislation that’s much needed in Virginia. Great work by everyone who made that happen!
