314 Action Fund Announces Broadcast and Cable Buy to Highlight Bob Good’s Refusal to Stand with Older Virginians
Philadelphia — Today, following Inside Elections’ VA-05 rating change in favor of Dr. Cameron Webb from “Lean Republican” to “Tilt Republican,” 314 Action Fund announced a broadcast and cable media buy to highlight Republican candidate Bob Good’s refusal to stand with older Virginians.
The six-figure buy, which begins Tuesday, October 20th, will run through the general election on broadcast and cable in the Charlottesville and Roanoke media markets as well as on cable in the Richmond media market.
The ad, “Coach,” will aim to inform VA-05 voters about Bob Good’s promises to cut social security, raise the retirement age, and limit benefits for older Virginians.
This new ad buy is part of 314 Action Fund’s $2.7 million investment in the race for Virginia’s fifth congressional district.
“Bob Good has been an unashamed advocate for raising the retirement age for hardworking Virginians and cutting social security and other benefits for those who rely upon them most,” said John Sweeney, spokesperson for 314 Action Fund. “The people of Virginia’s fifth congressional district—especially older citizens of the commonwealth—deserve a representative who will fight for them.”

In 2020, 314 Action Fund will continue working to elect science leaders and defeat climate deniers in Congress and legislatures across the country.
