From the DCCC:
WATCH: New DCCC TV Ad Hits Freitas on Health Care
A new DCCC ad hitting Nick Freitas on his health care record and special interest ties, “How Many,” begins airing today on Richmond broadcast and cable and Washington cable. This follows previous DCCC ads “Couldn’t Be” and “Truth.”
Nick Freitas opposes the Affordable Care Act and, even with over 149,000 cases of coronavirus in Virginia, has doubled down on his anti-health care stance.
The Freitas health care plan would kick 741,000 Virginians off their health insurance and gut protections for over 3.4 million more with pre-existing conditions.
This undoubtedly would make the insurance industry donors that fund his campaign happy.
“Nick Freitas’ health care plan would cause 741,000 Virginians to lose their health care coverage. Millions of others with pre-existing conditions would lose their protections. Nick Freitas may be good for his special interest donors, but he’s bad for health care and bad for Central Virginia,” said DCCC Spokesperson Christine Bennett.
TRANSCRIPT
There’ve been one hundred and forty-nine thousand coronavirus cases in Virginia. Thanks to our frontline health care workers … many have recovered.
But Nick Freitas’s plan would kick over seven hundred thousand Virginians off their health insurance.
And deny coverage to people with pre-existing conditions … like coronavirus.
Is it a coincidence he took thousands from the insurance industry?
How many more would suffer if Nick Freitas was in Washington?
