See below for graphics of the newly posted COVID-19 numbers by the Virginia Department of Health and the Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association. So, at this point (11/12), in Virginia we’re at 198,027 total reported – confirmed plus probable – cases (note that actual cases, as well as deaths, could be higher, maybe even a LOT higher, based on stories like this one in the NY Times), 13,339 hospitalizations and 3,758 deaths from COVID-19. The number of reported cases went up 1,521 (+0.8%) in the latest statistics, which is the same rate of increase than the day before, when reported cases were up 1,594 (+0.8%). As for hospitalizations, they went up 66 (+0.5%), which is a slower rate of increase than the day before, when hospitalizations were up 90 (+0.7%).  Deaths are reported +17 compared to +15 the previous day. The number of TOTAL test results is currently at 3,088,771 TOTAL test results (up 15,070 from yesterday; note that, according to researchers at Harvard, we need 21,145 test results/day for mitigation, 81,741/day for suppression).
