The following announcement by Henrico County Commonwealth’s Attorney Shannon Taylor (D) is not surprising, but here she makes it official that she will NOT be running for Virginia Attorney General next year. And while Taylor says she “must focus on the critical issues happening in Henrico,” and I’m sure that’s true, my understanding is the main reason she won’t be running is because AG Mark Herring decided not to run for governor, but to run for reelection as AG instead. Currently, the Democratic AG field is Del. Jay Jones and AG Mark Herring. I haven’t any rumors of other candidates considering getting into this one…
