So, at this point (12/6), in Virginia we’re at 255,053 total reported – confirmed plus probable – cases (note that actual cases, as well as deaths, could be higher, maybe even a LOT higher, based on stories like this one in the NY Times), 15,295 hospitalizations and 4,200 deaths from COVID-19. The number of reported cases went up 3,880 (+1.5%) in the latest statistics, which is the same rate of increase than the day before, when reported cases were up 3,793 (+1.5%). As for hospitalizations, they went up 40 (+0.3%), which is a slower rate of increase than the day before, when hospitalizations were up 139 (+0.9%). Deaths are reported +3, compared to +37 the previous day. The number of PCR-ONLY test results is currently at 3,492,201 (up 55,853 from yesterday).
