Video: As VA GOP Argues Endlessly Over Its Method of Nomination, State Central Committee Member Complains About “the VICIOUS incivility and attacks that have been coming from one side”

"We have been compared to Pelosi, votes were stolen, egotistical, Three Stooges, marching people into a wall, disenfranchising, and now to call a national committeewoman a witch, if not much worse."

UPDATE 12:45 pm – A State Central Committee member just spoke about the risk of Republican conventions being attacked by “Antifa” and/or “Black Lives Matter.” Seriously..

******************

As the Virginia GOP continues to fail in its (futile?) efforts to agree on a method of nomination (unassembled convention or primary – see here for a live blog of its 12/5/20 meeting, which was basically a dumpster fire) for its 2021 statewide candidates, the frustration and interpersonal nastiness seems to be increasing. For instance, check out the following comments from a few minutes ago, in the currently ongoing/seemingly interminable Virginia GOP meeting, by Virginia GOP State Central Committee member Willie Deutsch. And just be thankful that we have a functional, sane party in Virginia – namely, the Democratic Party of Virginia!

“We have been compared to Pelosi, votes were stolen, egotistical, Three Stooges, marching people into a wall, disenfranchising, and now to call a national committeewoman a witch, if not much worse. Other meetings, we have had cursing on this call. The last meeting devolved into people yelling. There comes a time when we have to come together as a party and stop the VICIOUS incivility and attacks that have been coming from one side. We have voted now, we’re going to vote for a third time, it is time to move forward as a party and respect each other as party members and get ready for war in November.”
