So, at this point (2/19), in Virginia we’re at 559,930 total reported – confirmed plus probable – cases (note that actual cases, as well as deaths, could be higher, maybe even a LOT higher, based on stories like this one in the NY Times), 23,369 hospitalizations and 7,098 deaths from COVID-19. The number of reported cases went up 2,034 (+0.4%) in the latest statistics, which is the same rate of increase than the day before, when reported cases were up 2,304 (+0.4%). As for hospitalizations, they went up 101 (+0.4%), which is the same rate of increase than the day before, when hospitalizations were up 89 (+0.4%). Deaths are reported +8, compared to +15 the previous day. The number of PCR-ONLY test results is currently at 5,703,634 (up 23,800 from yesterday).
