So, at this point (2/14), in Virginia we’re at 549,999 total reported – confirmed plus probable – cases (note that actual cases, as well as deaths, could be higher, maybe even a LOT higher, based on stories like this one in the NY Times), 22,906 hospitalizations and 7,012 deaths from COVID-19. The number of reported cases went up 2,575 (+0.5%) in the latest statistics, which is a slightly slower rate of increase than the day before, when reported cases were up 3,215 (+0.6%). As for hospitalizations, they went up 60 (+0.3%), which is a slower rate of increase than the day before, when hospitalizations were up 128 (+0.6%). Deaths are reported +16, compared to +30 the previous day. The number of PCR-ONLY test results is currently at 5,607,650 (up 24,395 from yesterday).
