Sunday (2/21) Virginia Data on COVID-19 Finds +2,303 Confirmed/Probable Cases (to 564,115), +45 Hospitalizations (to 23,481), +134 Deaths (to 7,331)

See below for graphics of the newly posted COVID-19 numbers by the Virginia Department of Health and the Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association. So, at this point (2/21), in Virginia we’re at 564,115 total reported – confirmed plus probable – cases (note that actual cases, as well as deaths, could be higher, maybe even a LOT higher, based on stories like this one in the NY Times), 23,481 hospitalizations and 7,331 deaths from COVID-19. The number of reported cases went up 2,303 (+0.4%) in the latest statistics, which is a slightly faster rate of increase than the day before, when reported cases were up 1,882 (+0.3%). As for hospitalizations, they went up 45 (+0.2%), which is a slightly slower rate of increase than the day before, when hospitalizations were up 67 (+0.3%).  Deaths are reported +134, compared to +99 the previous day. The number of PCR-ONLY test results is currently at 5,749,734 (up 24,574 from yesterday).
