From the Sean Perryman for LG campaign:
FAIRFAX, VA – Today, Sean Perryman’s campaign for Lieutenant Governor of Virginia released its first campaign ad of the race. The ad, titled “Path Forward”, details Perryman’s journey from the Black working class, to a career in law, to his work on Capitol Hill, and to his career in progressive activism.
In the ad, Perryman says: “Congressman Cummings once asked me: ‘What feeds your soul?’ Standing up for what’s right. Fighting for equity. Building a society where no one is left behind. And building a better world for [my daughter]. That feeds my soul.”
The ad comes as the 2021 campaign cycle enters full swing and the Perryman campaign moves into a strong position in the front of the crowded Democratic primary for Lt. Governor. The campaign reported raising over $200,000 in 2020 and has rolled out over 60 endorsements from elected officials and community leaders.
Sean Perryman is President Emeritus of the Fairfax County Chapter of the NAACP, a technology public policy advocate, attorney, and former congressional investigator. If elected he would become one of the youngest Lt. Governors in Virginia history.
