So, at this point (2/10), in Virginia we’re at 537,319 total reported – confirmed plus probable – cases (note that actual cases, as well as deaths, could be higher, maybe even a LOT higher, based on stories like this one in the NY Times), 22,470 hospitalizations and 6,932 deaths from COVID-19. The number of reported cases went up 3,003 (+0.6%) in the latest statistics, which is the same rate of increase than the day before, when reported cases were up 3,291 (+0.6%). As for hospitalizations, they went up 131 (+0.6%), which is a slower rate of increase than the day before, when hospitalizations were up 172 (+0.8%). Deaths are reported +34, compared to +78 the previous day. The number of PCR-ONLY test results is currently at 5,486,136 (up 16,359 from yesterday).
