Wednesday (4/28) Virginia Data on COVID-19: Slowest 10-Day Increase In Cases Since 10/28/20

See below for graphics of the newly posted COVID-19 numbers by the Virginia Department of Health and the Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association. So, at this point (4/28), in Virginia we’re at 657,154 total reported – confirmed plus probable – cases (note that actual cases, as well as deaths, could be higher, maybe even a LOT higher, based on stories like this one in the NY Times), 28,271 hospitalizations and 10,735 deaths from COVID-19. The number of reported cases went to 1,120 (+0.2%) in the latest statistics, which is the same rate of increase than the day before, when reported cases were up 1,105 (+0.2%). As for hospitalizations, they went up 77 (+0.3%), which is the same rate of increase than the day before, when hospitalizations were up 76 (+0.3%).  Deaths are reported +11 compared to +18 the previous day. The number of PCR-ONLY test results is currently at 6,977,981 (up 16,831 from yesterday).

P.S. No sign of new VHHA numbers as of 9:05 am.
