Monday (6/7) Virginia Data on COVID-19: Hospitalizations, 10-Day New COVID Cases Near Lowest Points Since Start of Pandemic

See below for graphics of the newly posted COVID-19 numbers by the Virginia Department of Health and the Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association. So, at this point (6/7) in Virginia we’re at 676,831 total reported – confirmed plus probable – cases (note that actual cases, as well as deaths, could be higher, maybe even a LOT higher, based on stories like this one in the NY Times), 29,961 hospitalizations and 11,245 deaths from COVID-19. The number of reported cases was 90 (+0.01%) in the latest statistics, a slightly slower rate of increase as yesterday’s 155 (+0.02%). As for hospitalizations, they went up 3 (+0.01%), a slightly slower rate of increase as yesterday’s +12 (+0.4%).  Deaths are reported +9 compared to +7 the previous day. The number of PCR-ONLY test results is currently at 7,492,704 (up 5,936 from yesterday).
