Denver Riggleman (R-VA05), who Good defeated in a bizarre Republican nominating contest last year, if he ran as an independent against Good, it would be a potentially interesting race. Of course, who knows what VA05 will look like after the completely FUBAR Virginia Redistricting Commission and/or conservative Virginia Supreme Court gets done redrawing it, but it’s almost certain to be “red” – the only question being HOW “red.” So yes, a conservative Republican (but, unlike Good, one who believes in our democracy and constitution) like Riggleman might be just the answer there?
