Yesli Vega Continues to Deny the Existence of Audio Recording Where She Doubts Likelihood of Rape-Related Pregnancies
Richmond, VA – Yesli Vega, an anti-abortion extremist, is continuing to try and deny the existence of the audio recording of her saying women who are raped cannot become pregnant.
In a recent interview with Fox News, Vega flat-out lied about her controversial comments where she was asked if it would be harder for a woman who is a victim of rape to become pregnant. To which Vega responded with, “It wouldn’t surprise me, because it’s not something that’s happening organically. You’re forcing it….I can see why there is truth to that.”

YESLI VEGA: “You know, people have asked me about it just because her allegations are so bizarre and not true and so I appreciate voters coming directly to me getting clarification, and once we talk about the issue and where I stand on it, they’re 100% on board and supporting me.”
In a separate interview with CBS19, Vega lied to a reporter when she said, “Those were never my comments.”
Vega has been clear on her extreme anti-abortion stance. She’s indicated in a survey that she would cosponsor and support the Life at Conception Act — a bill that would institute a total ban on abortion with no exceptions and certain contraceptives. Vega also applauded the Supreme Court’s draft opinion to overturn Roe as an “amazing victory,” then doubted the likelihood that women who are raped could become pregnant. Vega has also said only God –should decide the life of the mother.
“Yesli Vega can lie all she wants, but women across the Commonwealth and our country will never forget her disturbing comments about victims of rape,” said DPVA Spokesperson Gianni Snidle. “Yesli Vega’s terrifying determination to rip away women’s reproductive rights is a direct threat to all Virginia families — and Virginians will reject her at the ballot box tomorrow.”
