A new fundraising email by VA Sen. Scott Surovell warns – correctly: “We are expecting a $40 million campaign for the State Senate” and  “Democrats have a major fundraising disadvantage in Virginia because of one person. Glenn Youngkin is raising large donations faster than previous governors.” Sen. Surovell, who could be the next VA Senate Majority Leader (assuming Democrats hold their Senate majority and he wins the votes of his caucus), adds: “When we expand our majority this fall, I plan to lead our caucus to build on our past success and prevent Governor Youngkin’s plan to take us backwards.”  While we’re at it, let’s also win back the House of Delegates, make Minority Leader Don Scott the new Speaker, and turn Glenn Youngkin into a “lame duck” for his final two years in office!
