Gotta love this, from former Virginia Del. David Ramadan (R), speaking on Pod Virginia the other day:
“I’d agree with CNalysis that [SD31] is now a tilt-D race, from observation and discussions with people in the district. The Republican candidate, Juan Pablo Segura, is a well-financed newcomer to politics, but he’s also a newcomer to the area. It’s no secret that until he ran for this seat, he had lived in Georgetown in DC. And it’s not going well for him so far. His opponent [Russet Perry] on the other hand, has deep roots in the community. The Democratic candidate, Russet Perry, is clearly the most qualified candidate in this race, she has a long career of public service, first working for the CIA, and then as a prosecutor under Republican and Democratic Commonwealth’s attorneys in Loudoun. She’s served the district for many years, she knows Loudoun and Fauquier well. Thus, she’s likely the better candidate and thus, she’ll represent the 31st District well as a Senator.“
Anything else you need to know…other when you’re planning to vote (or volunteer) for Russet Perry, of course? 😉
