A few years ago, these are words you probably never word have heard from someone who used to be a *highly* partisan Republican…former Rep. Barbara Comstock (R-VA10), who now finds herself strongly agreeing with Rep. Abigail Spanberger (D-VA07) that:
“Trump’s reckless Schedule F policy would not only threaten thousands of Fed employees’ jobs in Virginia – it would threaten our national security. [Rep. Abigail Spanberger] is right.”
Meanwhile, in stark contrast to former Rep. Comstock and Rep. Spanberger, there’s “MAGA Glenn” Youngkin, who actually believes that “Virginia’s over 140,000 civilian federal employees who are at risk of being replaced by extreme MAGA loyalists ‘have little to fear’ because they would have no problem finding other ‘fabulous opportunities’ if Donald Trump and JD Vance overhaul the federal bureaucracy.”
Of course, this is completely bonkers, ignorant, idiotic, etc. – not to mention further strong evidence that Youngkin isn’t “moderate” in any way/shape/form – despite what the lying “journalists” at the WaPo told us throughout 2021 and beyond – but a Trumpist/extremist all the way.
Oh, and needless to say, Youngkin’s never cared about, understood or respected state government (or the federal government – or ANY government, except maybe the Chinese government, which he used to praise – as a “unique system” that was “incredibly helpful”!! – when he was at the Carlyle Group). So why, you ask, did he want to run for governor of Virginia? Clear answer: he didn’t give a crap about Virginia, he just saw the job as winnable (if he spent enough money, lied enough, and had the media whitewash/cover for him – which they did!) as a stepping stone for his own political ambitions – to be president some day (god forbid!).
