Today, Team Harris-Walz launches “Pay the Price,” the third in a series of ads laying out the stark choice voters face in this election, this time focusing on how Trump would raise costs for middle-class families in a second term and capitalize on the unchecked power he and his allies are seeking. Economists, independent experts, and labor agree that Trump’s plans will increase costs on Americans, drive up inflation, and harm our economy. The ad makes clear: A second Trump term would be more dangerous and more harmful for Americans than his first.
“Ahead of Vice President Harris’ closing argument speech this Tuesday, our campaign continues to crystalize the stark choice voters will face this November: between a candidate like Vice President Harris who understands that being president is about you, the American people, and Donald Trump, who is in it for himself,” said Harris-Walz Senior Spokesperson Ian Sams. “Another Trump term is just too big a risk for America, with plans that give Americans higher costs, fewer opportunities, and less freedoms. We are making sure voters know that.”
This ad follows “A Warning” which highlighted the bombshell John Kelly comments surrounding Trump’s praise of Hitler and “He Did It,” featuring women slamming Trump for bragging about overturning Roe v. Wade and warning about his Project 2025 plans to go further in a second term. This new suite of ads are part of the Harris campaign’s closing message to voters raising the stakes of the election and uplifting the dangers of a second Trump term on American freedoms and pocketbooks.
As part of the Harris-Walz campaign’s $370 million fall paid media campaign, “A Warning” will blanket television and digital across battleground states. The campaign views this contrast and raising the question of Trump’s stability and chaos as one of the most effective messages for voters in the final stretch.
