According to We Are CASA, ” A woman should be able to document federal agents, especially when they’re masked, operating in her community without having a gun pointed at her face.” As for the woman, Carolina Molina, who had the gun pointed at her face, see below for video of her talking about the incident, including that “I think they would have shot me and gotten away with it to be completely honest…I think it’s messed up. I just don’t think it’s fair that they can sit there and block somebody in and point a gun at your head and get away with it. I think they should be investigated.” Well said!
We Are CASA on ICE Escalations in Virginia
“ICE will only get more aggressive if no accountability,” says the national organization
WOODBRIDGE, VA – In response to recent ICE activity in Virginia, We Are CASA released the following statement from We Are CASA’s Executive Director, George Escobar.
“Virginia should be a home for safety and dignity. Families should be able to call for help after suffering violence at their quinceañera without fearing ICE descending on their birthday gathering. A woman should be able to document federal agents, especially when they’re masked, operating in her community without having a gun pointed at her face. And no one should wonder whether an encounter with masked federal agents will end in intimidation, excessive force, or their constitutional rights being ignored.
“The video circulating is important because it underscores why recording ICE activities can save lives: when masked agents exercise extraordinary power over people’s lives, the public must know what actually happened — not what ICE claims happened.
“We expect ICE tactics to become even more aggressive. From tech surveillance to new violence equipment, ICE is now preparing to equip officers with electroshock gloves. A large number of agents will soon send electrical shocks to control people who question their authority, demand their constitutional rights, and anything else that they claim. Whether it’s guns, tasers, brutal force, Black and brown lives have always been at risk at the hands of law enforcement, especially at the hands of the Trump administration’s ICE agency. We demand Congress move immediately to ensure oversight and accountability over the Trump administration.”

It wasn’t until after I was like this was a whole Renee Good situation again…I don’t know what life is right now to be completely honest, it just feels very overwhelming…I think it’s messed up.
