Capitol Hill Staffers Don’t Think Highly Of Eric Cantor

I finally got a copy of this month’s Washingtonian, with its “Best and Worst of Congress” ratings. The results were fascinating, particularly regarding one Eric Ivan Cantor (R-7th CD).  Keep in mind that the people voting here include “administrative aides, press secretaries, legislative directors, and chiefs of committee staffs” – in other words, the people who observe our Senators and Representatives more closely than just about anyone else in the world.  All of which should make Eric Cantor say “OUCH!” even louder than he would have otherwise.

*Cantor was voted the #3 “Showhorse” (as opposed to “Workhorse”) in the House of Representatives, behind Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX) and Michele Bachman (R-MN)

*Cantor was voted the #2 “Biggest Disappointment,” behind only “Tickle Me Eric” Massa.

*Cantor was voted the #1 “Most Partisan” member of the House, ahead of – you guessed it – Michele Bachmann (R-MN) and Cantor’s boss John Boehner (F-OH).

That pretty much sums it up about Cantor, a completely vapid, clueless, empty suit if I’ve ever seen one.

P.S. In stark contrast, Tom Perriello was voted the #1 “Surprise Standout” of the House, ahead of Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL), Joe Wilson (R-SC) and Keith Ellison (D-MN).
