A superb actress on one of the greatest TV shows ever (“All in the Family”), Jean Stapleton also fought for the Equal Rights Amendment and was “long-running chair of Women’s Research & Education Institute, a public policy think-tank focused specifically on issues affecting women.” Stapleton died yesterday at the age of 90. Rest in peace.
