More crazy times in Charlottesville (see below for video from last night’s raucous City Council meeting).

After months of public debate, official decisions and heated controversy, Charlottesville’s City Council on Monday voted to rename Lee Park as Emancipation Park and Jackson Park as Justice Park.

The council vote on the matter was preceded by a testy public comment period during which several left-wing activists were removed from the council chambers for interrupting their ideological counterparts.

After Kessler and John Heyden were interrupted repeatedly, which resulted in a brief suspension of Monday’s council meeting and police officers escorting left-wing agitators out of the room, Kessler accused Councilors Wes Bellamy and Kristin Szakos of colluding with “anti-fascist” activists.

Kessler alleged those activists across the country have advocated for violence against police officers and “overthrowing” the government.

“You don’t give a damn about white people,” Kessler said. “You people are implementing policies which are displacing us in our home countries, and we will not be allowed to survive.”

P.S. How much do they pay Mayor Mike Signer to do this job? Gack.
