- Barack Obama Still Doesn’t Understand Donald Trump (“White supremacy does not exist in good faith, and its opponents aren’t to blame for failing to change those who end up seduced by it. A lack of power among those opponents is the problem. Trump seems to have a better grasp on the primacy of power than Obama and his Democratic allies.”)

- VaNews, the New Power Broker in the Virginia Media Landscape (VPAP does a lot of good things, but its director, David Poole, is wayyyy off base in his decisions regarding which publications to include – and more to the point, EXCLUDE – from its morning news roundup. For instance, Poole includes crazy, far-right editorials from the Republican Times-Disgrace, but does NOT include straight news reporting or unique analysis from Virginia political blogs, right or left, including this one. Why not? I’ve had this discussion with him and with others at VPAP, and the responses are simply not serious. In short, of course VPAP should be including the Virginia Mercury, as well as whatever Google News includes from Virginia political blogs, unless it’s hate speech or something crazy. This really isn’t that hard.)
