Jeffrey Feld Launches Campaign for House District 81
Foot and Ankle Surgeon challenges Del. Barry Knight for seat in the Virginia House of Delegates
VIRGINIA BEACH CITY, Va. — Today, Jeffrey “Doc” Feld, a local podiatrist, announced his bid to become Virginia’s next delegate in the 81st House District, which covers parts of Chesapeake and Virginia Beach. He is the official Democratic nominee challenging Delegate Barry Knight (R).
“I am announcing my candidacy for the Virginia House of Delegates, because I am passionate about my community and we deserve a voice in Richmond who will fight for our values,” said Feld. “The 81st District should be represented by someone who will prioritize investing in our children’s education in an equitable way, increasing access to health care including mental health services, aiding small business growth and promoting our local economy, protecting the environment while working on flood prevention. These are some of the issues critical to our future success. We need to promote policies that work for everyone, and not just the privileged few, to build a better Virginia for generations to come and that starts with flipping the 81st.”
Feld has lived in Virginia Beach for nearly 20 years, where he runs his own medical practice. He is married to a public school teacher and they have three kids who attend Virginia Beach City Public Schools.
