So, at this point (5/14), in Virginia we’re at 669,219 total reported – confirmed plus probable – cases (note that actual cases, as well as deaths, could be higher, maybe even a LOT higher, based on stories like this one in the NY Times), 29,158 hospitalizations and 10,991 deaths from COVID-19. The number of reported cases went to 493 (+0.1%) in the latest statistics, which is the same rate of increase than the day before, when reported cases were up 579 (+0.1%) . As for hospitalizations, they went up 55 (+0.2%), which is the same rate of increase than the day before, when hospitalizations were up 65 (+0.2%). Deaths are reported +30 compared to +27 the previous day. The number of PCR-ONLY test results is currently at 7,238,393 (up 15,705 from yesterday).
