As we know, the entire process regarding Dominion Energy’s proposed fracked-gas compressor station at Union Hill has been highly dubious – see Just Days Before Vote on Crucial Fracked-Gas-Pipeline Compressor Station in Union Hill, Dominion Energy Busy Buying Off Opposition, Spreading NAACP Letter, Creating “Fear and Confusion”, Virginia Enviro Groups Call on Northam to Reverse Decision to Replace Air Board Members Opposed to Atlantic Coast Pipeline Compressor Station in Union Hill Ralph Northam’s Latest Air Pollution Control Board Move Proves He Must Think Virginians Are All Complete Idiots and With compressor station decision pending, Northam replaces two members of state air board for more on how dubious it’s been – and now it looks like that’s going to continue into 2019. Click here for the “tentative agenda” of the Air Board on Tuesday, January 8, starting at 10 am, at the Doubletree by Hilton in Richmond (1021 Koger Center Boulevard). Note that this meeting will NOT allow for the public to speak, despite the fact that there will have been new comments by the public since the last meeting, on December 19. Does that strike anyone as a bit odd? Or is this just “par for the course” for this entire, FUBAR process to date?

P.S. If you’re not a fan of environmental racism, such as we’re seeing in Union Hill, click here and sign the petition which demands that “[t]he air board must consider both the future of Virginia and its past legacy of slavery when making the decision to deny the air permit for this compressor station.”
