Yet again, far-right Fairfax County School Board member Elizabeth Schultz (R-Springfield District) has shirked her duties and provided evidence for why she needs to be voted off the School Board this November (note: I strongly support Democratic endorsee Laura Jane Cohen to replace Schultz).
Hat tip to Independent candidate Kyle McDaniel for flagging the latest Schultz shenanigans. McDaniel writes:
“There she goes again! For the second year in a row, our elected voice on the school board has walked away from the table and skipped voting on the FCPS budget, the year’s biggest vote. Yet again Springfield District had no voice, no say, and no representation when it came time to adopt a $3 billion budget with over half of YOUR tax dollars funding it! We can do better. “
Well said.
Now, here’s video of Schultz acting petulant and then walking out, followed by the unanimous vote of those present to adopt the all-important FCPS budget for FY2020. Clearly, Schultz had nothing constructive to offer in this debate, nor did she even feel it important enough to stay and cast a vote. Among many other reasons why Schultz needs to be defeated this November (see below the videos), this certainly should rank high on the list.
